Sky Racing’s form expert, TONY BRASSEL, checks out prospective winners after some super trials in NSW and QLD.

ABLE WILLIE (ROSEHILL 11 Oct, Heat 4)
(3g, Written Tycoon – Lifesaver Lady. Trainer: Chris Waller)
A total of 63 horses trialled at Rosehill last Monday and Chris Waller sent out 34 of them. This youngster could be the best of the bunch. He was never out of first gear winning on debut at Randwick - then followed this morning jog. After overracing upon debut, he was allowed to slide in this trial and did it beautifully. Black type material!
TAB: $51 Coolmore Stud Stakes.

ATON OF DELIGHT (ROSEHILL 11 Oct, Heat 2)
(3g, I Am Invincible – Zurella. Trainer: Chris Waller)
Races in the same interests as ABLE WILLIE. He barrier trialled for the sixth time when a soft second to KEEP WEALTHY at the Rosehill session. Bounced well, eased back towards the tail, then pulled his way along the rail for second. Yet to win a trial but likely to go very close under race conditions.

BANANA QUEEN (ROSEHILL 11 Oct, Heat 6)
(3f, So You Think – Tropicana Lady. Trainers: Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou)
Made two bursts in her trial at Rosehill early this week. After being trapped wider she booted to second, then gained tenaciously for second to LOVELIER. This was the first time we’ve seen her, so there’s big upside.

MAREEBA (KEMBLA 6 Oct, Heat 6)
(4m, Not A Single Doubt – Cheetara. Trainer: Brad Widdup)
Starred at last week’s Kembla trial session. Rocketed from the start, led with the brakes on and slipped her rivals with ease. Top stuff. Watch G1-winning rider Robbie Dolan strapped in for a joyride. Half a length the winning margin – it could have been three.

PRINCE AURELIUS (KEMBLA 6 Oct, Heat 1)
(5g, Love Conquers All – Demarcation. Trainer: Tyrone Coyle)
Forget his last start last in CRISTAL BREEZE’s Provincial Championship Final (1400m) back in April. Used a stack of gas to cross and lead, then toast in the stretch. Certainly didn’t fold in a Kembla trial (790m) last week. Made play then dropped the field as soon Brock Ryan clicked him along. Look for him in Rosehill’s $700,000 Four Pillars (1500m) on October 30.
TAB: $26 The Four Pillars.

SACRIMONY (ROSEHILL 11 Oct, Heat 8)
(3g, Per Incanto – Royal Excess. Trainer: Chris Waller)
Unraced, he’s by LOST AND RUNNING’s sire and races in the same colours. Third career trial resulted in a third to FAR TOO HOT over the Rosehill 900m last Monday. Midfield, wide with a tow, Glyn Schofield hustled him from the 200m - and did he cut loose! Impressed winning a Canterbury trial last June – he mowed down last Wednesday’s tidy Randwick winner DUFRESNE.

SELEQUE (ROSEHILL 11 Oct, Heat 3)
(4m, Deep Field – Bubbly Duchess. Trainer: Chris Waller)
Also trialled at Rosehill and midfield throughout when fifth to stablemate SELBUROSE. Had stacks up her sleeve over the 900m trip and likely to trial again before a first-up race start. Already a three-time winner, two of those wins being first-up after a spell.

ZOOM OUTCOME (PORT MACQUARIE 9 Oct, Heat 1)
(4g, Kuroshio – Someday Somehow. Trainer: Marc Quinn)
Blitzed rivals in a 1000m Port Macquarie trial last Saturday. Had sped around for third at a previous hit-out at that circuit. Unraced, so there’s a maiden win on his short-term horizon.
Nominated for Taree Maiden, Friday, October 15.
