The Chris Waller trained Welsh Legend did enough first up to suggest she will be hard to beat in the sixth event at Rosehill on Saturday.

Making her return behind Zoushack, Welsh Legend got a long way back before making up good ground late to finish a close fifth over 1400m.

Given three weeks between runs she has since trialled well at Warwick Farm over 1175m and a key switch with McDonald back aboard. She has placed in three of five attempts over this trip and two of her three career wins have come on her home track.

From the inside draw she should land just off the speed and while not a prolific winner she appears more than capable in this company.

When isolating her best form from the last 12 months she rates top on both form and speed figures. On Thursday afternoon $7.50 was the best price around town which appears a more than worthy gamble.

Sticking with the Chris Waller stable in the ninth event with the resuming Brookspire. Went like a rocket first up at Randwick (K) last time in before failing to back that up at Kembla.

Still wasn't disgraced behind Love Tap and has only been given a short break (77 days). Caught the eye in her latest trial when never let go by Jay ford and on her best form she is simply better than these.

The key knock is the draw as they may concede and get a long way back but with Rawiller on they could roll the dice, press forward and try and slot in.

Either way there looks good speed engaged and if she lands somewhere midfield she should get her chance. Have her marked 2-1 and happy to chance our arm that she gets the right run.
