Shimi primed for Bowl victory

Promising five year old, Shimi Go appears on target to maintain his unbeaten local record in the 1200m Wilayah  Silver Bowl at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

With three wins from three Malaysian starts, Shimi Go has made rapid progress through the grades since breaking his maiden tag on September 17 last year. The former New Zealand galloper hasn’t raced since December 2 when defying the class rise before easily accounting for his rivals in a Metro A contest.

Shimi Go has trained on well judging by his effortless four length trial win here Tuesday week ago and should prove hard to beat first up.

Captain Legacy to conquer again

Six year old galloper, Captain Legacy will be targeting successive victories in the 1200m Class 5(B) contest at  Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

Following three minor placings from as many local starts, Captain Legacy finally opened his winning account  with an authoritative 4.25 length win over 1200m here four weeks ago.

Arriving in the country with one minor placing from fifteen starts in Singapore, Captain Legacy has discovered  his niche since joining the Selangor stables of Ananthen Kuppan last year. The stable is experiencing a flying start to the new season producing five winners from fifteen runners at 33.3% and Captain Legacy appears likely to add to the win tally come Monday.
