Race analysis and race selections for Friday's racing at Kranji

Race analysis and race selections for Friday's racing at Kranji:

1st Pick: PIONEER SEVEN (2)
Clearly no back number and continues to race well, recent form is good and is good enough to win this opener.
2nd Pick: WELL DESERVED (4)
Back in this grade for the first time since winning off this same mark. Every chance with Vlad Duric back on board.
3rd Pick: TRIGAMY (11)
In good form and should run his race once again here.
4th Pick: CIZEN BOSS (8)
Best of the rest in a weak race outside of the top three.

1st Pick: SCOOTER (6)
Absolutely bolted up last time out and has now gone up eight points for that win. He is in great form for this grade of racing and it isn't impossible he could win again.
2nd Pick: SPORTSCASTER (2)
Is in form but finds winning hard and once again can run his race here with conditions to suit.
3rd Pick: BIG REGARDS (1)
Good run in defeat last time out on the turf and is a much better turf horse than he is on this surface. Trainer is yet to have a winner this year but this horse can run okay.
4th Pick: HOLY GRAIL (10)
No superstar but ran a better race last time out and if in the same form, he can go well.

1st Pick: SHOWBOUND (1)
Drew wide in his Singapore debut and battled on soundly behind War Pride. That was a much stronger race. Has trialled well since on the Polytrack and from gate No 4 will take beating against these.
2nd Pick: CRYSTAL DRAGON (6)
Well fancied on debut when disappointing. Trialled well since and can improve.
3rd Pick: WEALTH ELITE (8)
Two quiet trials, not fully tested last in most recent when 4.5L behind Hyde Park. Monitor betting.
4th Pick: BOOM ALMIGHTY (5)
Will be at huge odds here and could improve back to a sprinting trip on Polytrack and Marc Lerner engaged.

1st Pick: GOLDEN DASH (9)
Comes into this on the back of a strong win over 1200m and has won a trial. Gets on well with Ruan Maia and can go close again off a five point higher mark. Leading player.
2nd Pick: FIRST CHOICE (2)
A good run behind the useful filly Celavi when last seen. A horse with plenty of form and should be bang in there.
3rd Pick: HOTSHOTS SLAM (11)
A course and distance winner on debut and was eye-catching in fourth on latest start, which puts him in here with a good shout.
4th Pick: SACRED DON (1)
On last winning mark and now down in grade. Big danger to all even under top weight.

1st Pick: DAVID'S STAR (7)
Now eight points lower than his last win when making all to score and this time around has Vlad Duric booked which is a massive positive with a frontrunner. A big run is on the cards.
2nd Pick: TURF BEAUTY (3)
An interesting runner back to this trip and has shown form over shorter than her ideal. In-form and one to consider.
3rd Pick: STAR EFFECT (2)
Okay third last run and should be good enough for another top four finish.
4th Pick: SUPER WIN (9)
Nine points lower than last win. Each way chance.

1st Pick: GOLD PRIZE (3)
Squeezed up at the start last time but motored home late along the inside. Polytrack no issue, this looks a very suitable race.
2nd Pick: ST ALWYN (2)
Drops sharply in class here after contesting a Class 4 last time. Only beaten 3.5L there. Hard to say if he's as good on the Polytrack as turf but may not need to be to win this.
3rd Pick: MORE THAN OIL (9)
Trialled well recently and may have improved this preparation. Monitor betting.
4th Pick: LIM'S TORPEDO (7)
Resumes here off four trials. Gets in light at the weights and if the speed is on will be suited. Look for a solid late finish

1st Pick: MINISTER (6)
Worth forgiving on his debut effort. Brings serious credentials to this affair and has pleased in two recent trials. Will take beating.
2nd Pick: ELITE CONQUEST (3)
Has been struggling to win but returned first-up with an encouraging effort. Will strip fitter here and is capable of fighting out the finish.
3rd Pick: LUCK OF MASTER (8)
Relies on a genuine tempo but is very talented. Must find another gear but has the upside to do so. Major player with the right breaks.
4th Pick: GOLD CITY (12)
Eligible for easier but gets a featherweight. Needs to lift on recent efforts but is worth respecting on best efforts.

1st Pick: MCGREGOR (2)
It's been a long time since he threatened the judge but now that he is down in grade, he will get his chance to perform. Expect a bold showing.
2nd Pick: THE WILD BUNCH (7)
Lightly-raced and has the upside to continue to improve. Must be respected as a winning factor yet again.
3rd Pick: MADE IN RUSSIA (1)
Hasn't won since his debut but has been knocking on the door in recent affairs. Worth considering on best efforts.
Eye-catching last start. Will appreciate the rise in journey and certainly has the ability to win. In the mix.

1st Pick: CELAVI (4)
A smart filly who is putting together a good CV. An easy win last time out has put her up seven points. Her only defeats have been in races won by Inferno. First try at this trip and can win.
2nd Pick: TOOSBIES (2)
Second to Hurrian last time out and has plenty of form good enough to go close here.
3rd Pick: SUN CHESS (1)
A listed winner as a two-year-old for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott at Moonee Valley. Has trialled well for leading stable and has the assistance of the talented Patrick Moloney on debut from a wide barrier. A very interesting runner now starting off life in Singapore on the Polytrack. One to watch.
4th Pick: CHALAZA (5)
No win for over two years but is racing well and a place chance again.
