2021 Ipswich Cup: Tips And Race Preview

Tips and Race Preview for the 2021 Ipswich Cup at Ipswich on Saturday show it to be an open race. So You Win is at $4 if he runs.

Strong pace from Inverloch and In Good Health matching motors with Maid Of Ore close at hand. SO YOU WIN (2) came with a strong run from next to last to finish a very close fourth in the Listed Wayne Wilson Mile at Eagle Farm last Saturday. Yet to win this prep but has been within 2 lengths of the winner in all five runs. Needs the step up in trip now. Big chance to break through.

LAURE ME IN (4) ran ninth last start beaten 3 lengths in the G3 Lord Mayor's Cup at Eagle Farm over 1800m. Barnstorming winner of the 1600m Scone Cup the run before. Form over 2000m in black-type races last prep was solid. Right in the mix. IN GOOD HEALTH (3) finished midfield last start at Eagle Farm over 1600m following a win at Listed level in Adelaide. Has a high cruising speed and if she doesn't get in a battle for the lead with Inverloch she can run boldly.

HUMBOLT CURRENT (7) has been freshened up since finishing second over 2400m at Gold Coast six weeks back. Honest stayer who must be respected with the in-form Williams taking the mount. FLASH AAH (6) is racing well and is an each-way hope.

1st – 2 So You Win

2nd – 4 Laure Me In

3rd – 3 In Good Health

4th – 7 Humbolt Current

2021 Eye Liner Stakes: Tips And Race Preview

Look for Craig Williams to keep his roll going in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2021 Eye Liner Stakes, Amish Boy is a $3.10 hope for him.

Solid tempo with Axe to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. AMISH BOY (2) settled well back but really stoked up late to just miss over 1400m in the G3 Fred Best Classic at Eagle Farm last time. Should settle a bit closer today out of a far better gate. Newmarket placegetter who has been in work a long while but finds his easiest assignment in ages.

The very consistent AXE (10) would up strongly to grab third over 1350m in the G3 BRC Sprint at Doomben last start, 1.4 lengths from the winner. Wide draw a small concern but he'll probably work across and try to lead. Sure to feature at the business end. GROUNDSWELL (1) was back in form last time when a close second in the LR Spear Chief Handicap at Eagle Farm over 1500m after leading. Widely-travelled sprinter who needs luck from the alley but can win on his best figures.

BOOMSARA (4) led and held on well for second last time out over 1300m at Eagle Farm. Generally peaks third-up so he can go one better without surprising. MISHANI HUSTLER (5) placed at Listed level two back. Chance at huge odds.

1st – 2 Amish Boy

2nd – 10 Axe

3rd – 1 Groundswell

4th – 4 Boomsara
