A day before voting commences for the 2020 All-Star Mile at Caulfield opens trainer Adam Trinder has advised Racing Victoria stewards’ on Wednesday that the 2019 winner of the race, Mystic Journey, has a soft tissue infection in her left front limb.
Trinder said that the four-year-old Need Further is currently undergoing veterinary treatment and as a result will miss several days of track work.
The only current nomination held by Mystic Journey is for the All-Star Mile (1600m) to be run on Saturday,, March 14th.
The stewards’ reported that with the public voting for the field commencing on Thursday that Trinder advised them of the issue so that the public were fully informed.
