HKJC grants licence to French jockey Antoine Hamelin

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Licensing Committee has resolved to:-
 
1.         withdraw the Club Jockey’s licence previously granted to Aldo Domeyer and the Apprentice Jockey’s Licence previously granted to Gary Lo, both of which were due to take effect from 29 March 2020; and
 
2.         grant a Club Jockey’s licence to Antoine Hamelin for the period 25 March 2020 until the conclusion of the current 2019/2020 season.  Due to the mandatory 14 day quarantine period being undertaken by Jockey Hamelin, he will be eligible to accept race riding engagements for the Happy Valley racemeeting on Wednesday, 8 April 2020.

Antoine Hamelin (28 years) is a high-class French jockey who has ridden in excess of 700 winners during his career.  The highlight of his 8 career Group wins was his victory in the 2012 Prix du Jockey Club on SAONOIS on which he also won the 2012 Prix Niel (Group 2).  Jockey Hamelin has also enjoyed success at the Royal Ascot meeting having won the 2017 Albany Stakes (Group 3) on DIFFERENT LEAGUE.

Jockey Hamelin’s minimum riding weight is 118 lbs.
