Handsome collect on The Gong First 4

A $100 outlay has netted one TAB punter a five-figure collect on the First 4 on Saturday's feature event, the $1m The Gong (1600m) from Kembla Grange.

With Archedemus scoring an upset at $18.90 on the NSW tote it set things up for some decent exotics. Race favourite Dawn Passage ran second while roughies Think It Over ($40.80) and Reloaded ($18.90) filled third and fourth.

The First 4 on the NSW TAB topped $100k and this particular customer chose to go 'one out' with Archedemus on top!

Selecting five horses for second (including the fav), they then went for safety by choosing 'Field' for third and fourth.

For their efforts, the punter picked up nearly $12,000.

Another TAB customer also proven themselves to be a genius at Kembla Grange.

Spending just $20, they secured nearly $9,000 in return after nailing a significant portion of the First 4 in race 5 on the card.

The punter boxed four horses for 83.33% and bravely decided to leave out of the hot favourite Big Parade from their selections completely!

The fact the favourite failed to finish in the First 4 paved the way for a fat dividend which topped $10,000 on the NSW TAB.
