Gem Song out of Doncaster Mile and Icebath in

The Kris Lees stable has advised Racing NSW Stewards that Gem Song was found to be lame in the off fore leg after working this morning and has been scratched from the $3m, Group 1 The Star Doncaster Mile (1600m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Gem Song will now be spelled and not race again this autumn.

The withdrawal of Gem Song allows the Brad Widdup trained Icebath (NZ) into the field. Icebath was balloted out and will now start from barrier two with Jay Ford up carrying 50.5kg. Icebath is at $26.00 with TAB's Doncaster Mile market.
