Further vet inspections for Aidan O'Brien Cox Plate runners

Racing Victoria (RV) reported on Thursday afternoon that RV veterinarians earlier Thursday inspected all 14 starters and the emergency for this Saturday’s Group 1 WS Cox Plate (2040m) at The Valley.

Two horses trained by Aidan O’Brien, Magic Wand (IRE) and Armory (IRE), will be re-examined by veterinarians on Friday.

Magic Wand presented with lameness in her right fore limb while Armory presented with a degree of lameness in his left fore limb.

RV will provide a further update on Friday following the completion of the re-inspections which will be conducted by a panel of three veterinarians (two from Racing Victoria and one independent).

All other horses have been passed fit to race.

TAB have Magic Wand at $26.00 in their Cox Plate market and Armory at $5.50, Russian Camelot (IRE) is the current $4.60 favourite.
