Racing Victoria (RV) reported on Thursday afternoon that RV veterinarians earlier Thursday inspected all 14 starters and the emergency for this Saturday’s Group 1 WS Cox Plate (2040m) at The Valley.
Two horses trained by Aidan O’Brien, Magic Wand (IRE) and Armory (IRE), will be re-examined by veterinarians on Friday.
Magic Wand presented with lameness in her right fore limb while Armory presented with a degree of lameness in his left fore limb.
RV will provide a further update on Friday following the completion of the re-inspections which will be conducted by a panel of three veterinarians (two from Racing Victoria and one independent).
All other horses have been passed fit to race.
TAB have Magic Wand at $26.00 in their Cox Plate market and Armory at $5.50, Russian Camelot (IRE) is the current $4.60 favourite.
