I Found You When questioned if there was an opportunity to place his mount under pressure earlier, rider Blake Shinn explained that he commenced to ask his mount to improve from the 300m and when Aldolfito improved to his outside near the 250m, he then placed his mount under full pressure, however I Found You did not quicken as expected and he expressed some disappointment in the performance of the filly. Blake Shinn added that in his opinion at this stage of I Found Yous career, the filly may be better suited in races over a shorter journey and ridden with cover.

Dean Yendall added that the colt weakened in the straight and he felt there may be something amiss. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with the stable.

Winston Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Near the 1400m and again near the 1200m was eased when awkward on the heels of Pisces which shifted in before being corrected. Hung in under pressure in the straight.
