The top-weight with 59kg is the Busutin and Young trained Mirage Dancer (GB), the winner of the 2020 Group 1 The Metropolitan over 2400m at the track in October.  Damien Oliver rides with barrier seven.

The Lance O’Sullivan and Andrew Scott trained Sir Charles Road is accepted to try and repeat his 2018 win in the race after which he backed up for third in the Sydney Cup.  Sir Charles Road was also third in the 2019 Group 1 The Metropolitan over 2400m so he is no stranger to Randwick success.

The seven-year-old Myboycharlie gelding comes to his 2021 Sydney campaign off a third in the Group 1 Auckland Cup over 3200m at Ellerslie on March 13th. Andrew Adkins rides with 56kg and barrier six.

Both carry 54.4kg with Tim Clark up on Hush Writer from barrier 12 and Sam Clipperton on Sacramento with barrier nine.

Sacramento, a four-year-old Pierro gelding, has the remarkable record this campaign of racing six times since December 26th, winning three of those starts, placing second once and third twice with his stakes earnings now not far off the half million mark.

The William Haggas trained Favorite Moon (GER) claimed the Manion Cup and was nominated for the Chairman’s, however, the four-year-old Sea The Moon gelding was not accepted. Favorite Moon remains on TAB’s second line of their Group 1 Schweppes Sydney Cup market at $7.00 with Ream Of Flowers, second in the Manion Cup, the $6.00 favourite.

The Chairman’s Quality is Race 5 on the ten race programme at 1.55pm. The meeting commences at 11.35am with a field of 12 two-year-old’s in the $200,000, Group 3 Widden Kindergarten Stakes (1100m).
