Converge out of Golden Rose

Racing NSW stewards' on Wednesday advised that co-trainer Adrian Bott has advised them that a blood test taken from Converge after racing disappointingly in the Group 2 Run To The Rose over 1200m at Kembla Grange last Saturday, was found to show an abnormality, indicative of infection. 

Bott advised that Group 1 JJ Atkins winner Converge has been treated with antibiotics and will not start in the $1m, Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m) on September 25th.
The Stewards also advised that trainer Luke Thomas has advised that Superior Witness will be spelled following racing disappointingly at Wednesday's Kensington meeting finishing ninth in the Earthlight @ Darley Bm 72 Handicap (1150m). Wagering Operators were requested to remove Superior Witness from The Kosciuszko market.
