2020 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes: Tips And Race Preview
Taking the class in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes, Behemoth has the weight but can still prevail at $4.60.
Loads of early pressure engaged here but expecting Begood Toya Mother, Runson and Dollar For Dollar to contest it. The Memsie produced the winner of this race last year and the Memsie winner turns up in 2020 with a great chance.
BEHEMOTH (1) got a nice run there but he powered away to land that Group One contest and while he gives weight all around he demands respect at the same course and distance. TAGALOA (15) is also a Group One winner, having landed the Blue Diamond last term, and he ran well first up. Travelled on-pace in the G3 McNeil Stakes at this track over 1200m but found one better. Think he will relish the 1400m and can see him benefitting from sitting off a strong tempo.
AGE OF CHIVALRY (11) ran second in this race last year and has built up ideally for the race again this time around. He peaks and goes close, as does BANQUO (16) who backs up after a good effort last time in the G2 Bobbie Lewis Quality at Flemington over 1200m. Superstorm and Cascadian are others with strong claims in a typically deep betting contest.
2020 SIR RUPERT CLARKE STAKES – SELECTIONS
1st – 1 Behemoth
2nd – 15 Tagaloa
3rd – 11 Age Of Chivalry
4th – 16 Banquo
2020 Naturalism Stakes: Tips And Race Preview
Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 Naturalism Stakes at Caulfield, Orderofthegarter is getting to his best and is at $4.
The speedy Think We're Due likely to find the front here with plenty of pressure to keep the pace honest.
ORDEROFTHEGARTER (9) drifted back before winding up strongly to just miss when second over 2000m at this track last time in a race that rated well. Top talent that is slowly building himself back up towards his true form which would make him the clear top pick in this. Think he can win it. DR DRILL (3) wasn't far away fresh when fifth in the Heatherlie and he was a real eye catcher there. Think he can settle closer this time and give the race a big shake. Going as well as ever.
KINANE (18) has had two runs since a break, closing soundly in both, and now gets to the trip where he peaked in the autumn. Big engine and could improve sharply. GAME KEEPER (14) just peaked on his effort last time out finishing third over 1700m in the Heatherlie where he was up from 1200m. Has a better base now with that run under his belt and can be hard to beat.
2020 NATURALISM STAKES – SELECTIONS
1st – 9 Orderofthegarter
2nd – 3 Dr Drill
3rd – 18 Kinane
4th – 14 Game Keeper
2020 How Now Stakes: Tips And Race Preview
The G1 winner heads the Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 How Now Stakes, Lyre is ready to win now at $2.60.
High pressure race from the outset with She's A Thief, Jentico and Felicia taking up the running over Our Campana and I Am Eloquent.
LYRE (6) just missed last time when neck from the winner in the G3 The Heath at this track over 1100m. Big run and she just peaked on it late in the piece so thinking that she comes here fitter. She's desperate to break back through and win another race and won't get many better chances to do so.
FELICIA (12) was in the market and ran well when resuming over 1200m in the LR Chandler Macleod at Moonee Valley. She can put herself in a positive spot here and be hard to beat. HUMMA HUMMA (2) is another that resumed over 1100m in the G3 The Heath at this track and was beaten less than a length. Has good upside with the run under her belt and expected to feature. FIESTA (7) resumes. Can make an impact fresh with her best form very solid for this.
2020 HOW NOW STAKES – SELECTIONS
1st – 6 Lyre
2nd – 12 Felicia
3rd – 2 Humma Humma
4th – 7 Fiesta
