Banquo shares favouritism with Affair To Remember with TAB’s opening All In market at $4.50 over Conqueror, Heart Of Puissance and Pretty Brazen at $6.00, Kavalmo and Maserartie Bay at $8.00 and Call Me Shamus at $11.00.
Dan O’Sullivan’s Affair To Remember, a filly by Toronado, was third on Saturday to Nudge in the Benchmark 70 over 1700m.
The Maher and Eustace trained Humidor (NZ) is the favourite at $3.50 for the $300,000, Group 2 Zipping Classic (2400m). The seven-year-old Teofilo gelding has yet to win this campaign and comes to the Classic off a ninth in Saturday’s Group 1 Mackinnon Stakes over 2000m. He was 5 1/2L from the winner Magic Wand (IRE).
There were 171 nominations on Monday for the ten race programme. The track is currently rated a Good 4 with the rail to be in the True position for the entire circuit.
