Wyong trials programmed for Thursday

Racing NSW advised on Tuesday after the abandonment of the Gosford trials earlier Tuesday that a number trials will be conducted after the Wyong race meeting on Thursday starting at 5:45pm.

The trials will be for the horses trained at Gosford, Wyong and tracks south of Wyong Racecourse that originated from the abandoned Gosford trials.


Earlier report Tuesday morning - Racing NSW stewards' advise that the Randwick and Gosford barrier trials were called off today, Tuesday, due to poor air quality.

A Poor Air Quality Forecast alert was issued by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) due to forecast elevated ozone and particle levels in Sydney for Tuesday.

The Randwick trials will now be run this Friday with all heats and times unchanged..

Gosford's trials have been abandoned due to the inability of finding an appropriate date to reschedule with upcoming race meetings, barrier trials and track maintenance.
