Victorian programme changes due to loss of recent meetings

Racing Victoria (RV) on Wednesday advised that an additional meeting has been programmed at Werribee racecourse on Tuesday, 21 January 2020.

The decision was made as a result of the recent loss of meetings due to smoke haze and poor air quality across the state.

As a result of the additional meeting, the trials that were scheduled at Werribee on Tuesday have been moved to Thursday, 23 January. Nominations for the trials will now close at 12noon on Tuesday, 21 January.

It was also determined following a review of Caulfield’s racing schedule and available racing options next Wednesday at Sandown, that today’s meeting at Caulfield will not be rescheduled.

Other programming changes have been made with a BM70 2100m race added to the Sandown meeting on Wednesday, 22 January.

Whilst at Moonee Valley on Friday, 24 January, the BM70 1000m has been amended to a BM78 1000m to cater for horses in a similar abandoned race at Caulfield today.
