Racing NSW stewards' on Tuesday advised of two veterinary inspections to be conducted later this week:
Etah James – Racing NSW Stewards have received advice that Etah James (an acceptor in The Metropolitan) underwent surgery for the removal of a sarcoid adjacent to its right eye since its last start. In addition to this surgery, the mare has healing granulation tissue associated with post-operative topical therapy to the left side of its face. A veterinary clearance has been received and Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Toby Koenig will inspect Etah James later this week to ascertain the mare’s suitability to race.
Just Thinkin’ – Following the gelding being scratched from the Shannon Stakes last Saturday when showing signs of colic requiring treatment, trainer Mr A Bott has advised the gelding responded well to treatment and should it gain a start in Saturday’s TAB Epsom will take its place in the field. Just Thinkin’ will be examined by Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Toby Koenig later this week.
