Think It Over out of spring racing

The 2022 Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Think It Over is out of spring racing this year after sustaining a tendon injury in his off-side foreleg.

 The Kerry Parker trained six-year-old So You Think gelding had been looking at a repeat of his 2021 spring of four wins plus a possible trip to Melbourne for the Group 1 WS Cox Plate at The Valley. Parker said that the full extent of the injury is yet to be determined, however, Think It Over will be give every opportunity to recover.

Think It Over, with Nash Rawiller up, won the WFA Queen Elizabeth Stakes over 2000m at Randwick on April 9th over Zaaki (GB) and Mount Popa (IRE).

His 2021 spring was epic with connections deliberately not going south for the Cox Plate to contest the riches of the Sydney Spring Carnival. Think It Over won the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes over 1600m, the Group 2 Hill Stakes over 2000m, the Group 3 Craven Plate over 2000m and the Rosehill Cup over 2000m earning stakes of $2.69m.

Overall Think It Over has won 12 times from 35 starts and with 11 placings he has earned stakes of $7.15m.
