Race 1 FOUR'N TWENTY PLATE 1200 metres:

Port Louis Began awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with Smytzer.

Smytzer Hampered at the start when bumped by Port Louis which shifted in. Hampered near the 300m when tightened for room between Fire and Darceandermill which was taken out by Minsk Moment (B. Prebble) which shifted out to avoid the heels of Hardware Lane which began to give ground. Brett Prebble was severely reprimanded and notified to exercise far more care in similar circumstances.

Minsk Moment Tightened for room at the start by Prowling which shifted out. Held up for clear running passing the 300m. Approaching the 200m was steadied when disappointed for clear running between Hardware Lane and He's Xceptional which shifted in. Passing the 100m was brushed and taken in off its course by He's Xceptional.

He's Xceptional Raced ungenerously passing the 800m.

Fire Raced wide without cover from the 800m. Hampered near the 300m when bumped on the inside by Smytzer which had been taken out by Darceandermill. Performed below market expectations. A post‑race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be shinsore in both forelegs. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again.

Darceandermill Weakened from the 200m. Rider Beau Mertens could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post‑race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Hardware Lane Apprentice Teodore Nugent explained that after the gelding had begun well and set a fast tempo through the early stages, he then attempted to settle the gelding passing the 700m with the view that Darceandermill, which was racing to his outside, may have raced forward and taken the lead. He further explained that when attempting to do so the gelding settled better than anticipated and as a result he then set a slower tempo than expected. Stewards notified Teodore Nugent that he must ensure he does not excessively reduce the tempo when in similar circumstances in future.

Race 2 MSC SIGNS HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Al Passem Underwent a veterinary examination upon arrival, having had a long spell due to a tendon injury, and was passed suitable to race. Raced four wide without cover.

Jumbo Ozaki Slow to begin.

Rainbiel Began awkwardly.

Whipcracker Way Raced three wide without cover. Apprentice Josh Richards could offer no explanation for the performance after the gelding failed to respond to his riding in the straight. A post‑race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Lombardo Raced keenly through the middle stages.

Not To Be Mist Hung in from the 500m.

Ocular Checked near the 500m when tightened for room by Not To Be Mist which hung in passing the 500m despite the efforts of its rider. Briefly held up for clear running near the 150m between Whipcracker Way and It's Kind Of Magic.

Imperial Lad Disappointing. Apprentice Teodore Nugent could offer no explanation for the performance after the gelding failed to respond to his riding in the straight. A post‑race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the stable.

Race 3 ASPECT KITCHENS STUTT STAKES - GROUP 2 - 1600 metres:

Riverplate (NZ) Began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Held up for clear running from the 150m and went to the line not fully tested.

Alpine Aviator Making the first turn near the 1200m got its head up and hung out. Eased down in the straight. Rider Luke Currie reported the gelding raced greenly throughout. Trainer Matt Laurie was notified a warning would be recorded against the gelding for the poor performance and its racing manners. A post‑race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Daily Bugle Steadied passing the 1200m when settling in a position behind Forgot You (NZ).

Micro Passing the 1200m was taken out off its course by Alpine Aviator which hung out, then raced three wide without cover until the 800m.

Mr Mozart Stewards questioned rider Fred Kersley regarding his tactics near the 600m whereby he allowed Prince Alexander to shift out from behind the leading runner, Sandy Prince, and gain a run between that gelding and Mr Mozart. Fred Kersley explained that during the race he did not believe he had left sufficient room for a runner to his inside, however after viewing the patrol video with the Stewards, he conceded that there was sufficient room for Prince Alexander to gain running. Fred Kersley added that as a result of Prince Alexander obtaining the running to his inside, he was then committed to ride his mount along sooner than he would have preferred. Stewards notified Fred Kersley that in their view he had erred in allowing Prince Alexander to gain running to his inside near the 600m and that he should have maintained his line to the outside of Sandy Prince, thereby racing in a two-wide position and not having to put his mount under pressure prior to straightening.

Race 4 PIPER-HEIDSIECK SCARBOROUGH STAKES - GROUP 3 - 1200 metres:

All About Eve Slow to begin. Rider Daniel Moor reported that as a result the filly settled further back than intended.

Seradess Passing the 1000m steadied to avoid the heels of Morning Melody (D. Oliver) which shifted in. Damien Oliver was severely reprimanded.

Decent Raine Held up for clear running from the 400m until shifting out across heels upon straightening near the 200m.

Morning Melody Held up for clear running from the 150m and went to the line not fully tested.

Ghodeleine Tightened for room at the start by Inverloch (IRE) which shifted out.

Inverloch (IRE) Rider Linda Meech was fined $500 under the provisions of AR131(b) in that she failed to ride her mount out to the end of the race. In assessing penalty, Stewards were of the view that her actions may have affected the final placings.

Race 7 - CHARTER KECK CRAMER MOIR STAKES - GROUP 1 - 1000 metres:

Brooklyn Hustle Slow to begin. Raced wide and hung out from the 500m. Rider Brett Prebble reported that the mare commenced to hang out from the 500m. Post‑race endoscopy of Brooklyn Hustle detected a degree of internal exercise‑induced pulmonary haemorrhage and a throat condition which may have affected the mare's racing performance. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again.

Stewards reprimanded John Allen and notified him to attempt to straighten his mounts as soon as practical when in similar circumstances in future. Held up for clear running from the 400m until passing the 50m.

Miss Guggenheim Approaching the 1200m got its head up when being restrained. Eased down over the concluding stages. Rider Brett Prebble reported the mare would be better suited on tracks with more give. A post‑race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the stable.

Ripper Rita Disappointing. Rider Jamie Mott could offer no explanation for the performance. A post‑race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the stable.
