2020 Manikato Stakes: Tips And Race Preview

Taking the real class in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 Manikato Stakes, Trekking was brave last week and is a $3.60 chance.

Pippie absolutely flies from a standing start and looks sure to lead with Hey Doc and Bella Vella expected to be among those prominent.

TREKKING (1) ran really well here in the Moir with the 1000m just unfolding a touch too quickly for him. Built on that effort when standing up to the pressure and running a typically brave race in the Everest last week and if he is able to bring that form here on the quick turnaround he is the one that they have to beat.

DIRTY WORK (6) ties in with that top sprinting form up in Sydney and he kept on improving when winning the Schillaci last time. Can continue to head the right way. The flying PIPPIE (8) ran them off their feet in the Moir. Now has the stretch that out to 1200m but she will lead and give them something to think about. HEY DOC (2) and BELLA VELLA (9) are Group One winners, Hey Doc having won this race in 2017, and both must be respected.

1st – 1 Trekking

2nd – 6 Dirty Work

3rd – 8 Pippie

4th – 2 Hey Doc

2020 WS Cox Plate: Tips And Race Preview

The Caulfield Stakes is the form for the Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 WS Cox Plate, Arcadia Queen can explode and is now at $5.

Grandslam looks the likely leader, rolling along in front with Magic Wand the one most likely to press the issue. The bar plates came off ARCADIA QUEEN (9) at Caulfield and she exploded, returning to her very best for the first time since the Kingston Town back in 2018. Dominant display, powering home in blistering late splits off a steady tempo, and looks ready to go to a whole new level now.

RUSSIAN CAMELOT (11) was no match at all for her speed there but he won the Underwood like a really good horse and is still one that can be improving. So too is Irish visitor ARMORY (12) who brings a world class piece of form to the table via the Irish Champion Stakes where he ran third to two of the best in the world with the Arc winner back in fourth.

Another visitor, ASPETAR (6), arrives off a peak of his own and has a chance. York win worked out well. PROBABEEL (13) did well to land the Epsom and while this will take better again she has a nice profile off that, following four-year-old mares to win this through the Epsom - Dane Ripper, Sunline, Pinker Pinker and the great Winx. Not dismissed lightly.

1st – 9 Arcadia Queen

2nd – 11 Russian Camelot

3rd – 12 Armory

4th – 6 Aspetar

2020 Moonee Valley Cup: Tips And Race Preview

Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 Moonee Valley Cup at Moonee Valley on Saturday says a horse might finally get a required win. Shared Ambition is ready to do something at $3.80.

Trap For Fools can lead with Hush Writer and we should see a true test over the trip. We saw the Bart Cummings form stand right up in the Geelong Cup and it looks like doing so again with SHARED AMBITION (4) the horse that really appeals. He has been a bit of a tease, and may be wearing thin with some punters, but he closed well at Flemington and the run over the trip can have him bang on to deliver now.

SOUND (7) ran really well in the same race. Had a charmed run but he's in terrific form this prep and looks sure to run well again. HUSH WRITER (2) will press forward into a great spot and he is going really well. Takes some pegging back. SELINO (10) is an interesting runner straight off the plane for Waller. Has some bits of form that give him a chance while GALLIC CHIEFTAIN (1) ran well last time and is building nicely towards a peak.

1st – 4 Shared Ambition

2nd – 7 Sound

3rd – 2 Hush Writer

4th – 10 Selino

2020 Crystal Mile: Tips And Race Preview

Anything could end up winning as we can see in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 Crystal Mile, Homesman does like it here and he is at $4.80.

Strong early pace as Streets Of Avalon and Chief Ironside press to the lead. HOMESMAN (1) has a good record fresh at the mile and around the Valley. Has won a Feehan first up around here and this looks a perfect option for him off the break. Think he runs well. The other established weight-for-age horse is KINGS WILL DREAM (2) who has been okay in unsuitably slow tempo races at his last couple. Think a better gallop here can suit him and his fresh run said he was back in good order.

AGE OF CHIVALRY (6) ran well in the Toorak and has a hope off that along with CHIEF IRONSIDE (8) who won this last year and should be just about right to return to his peak now which is clearly good enough. OLMEDO (4) did nothing at his lone Australian run to date but wary of him with the new yard here. Best form in France is fantastic for this.

1st – 1 Homesman

2nd – 2 Kings Will Dream

3rd – 6 Age Of Chivalry

4th – 8 Chief Ironside

2020 Moonee Valley Vase: Tips And Race Preview

On a flying stable in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 Moonee Valley Vase, Young Werther runs for Danny O'Brien and is at $2.30.

Expecting Captain Corelli to take up the running with Reliable Lovin' close at hand. YOUNG WERTHER (6) won really well first up and that form worked out really well. Went to Flemington where he was well fancied but found traffic at the wrong time and it cost him. Wins with a clear crack at them but think he makes amends here with plenty more to come as he works towards the Derby.

CHERRY TORTONI (3) ran a plain race in the Spring Champion when more was expected on the back of his good Stutt run. That was a fast 2000m and he might have been caught out by that. Could well improve with that run under the belt now. KHOEKHOE (1) beat Young Werther last time and have to respect that while LUNAR FOX (2) and CAPTAIN CORELLI (5) did enough in the Guineas to be given chances up in trip now.

1st – 6 Young Werther

2nd – 3 Cherry Tortoni

3rd – 1 Khoekhoe

4th – 2 Lunar Fox

2020 Moonee Valley Fillies Classic: Tips And Race Preview

Taking the G1 form in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 Moonee Valley Fillies Classic, Ecumenical heads that up at $2.60.

Genuine tempo on the cards with both Yes Baby Yes and Miss Inbetween forging to the lead. 1000 Guineas is the key formline and ECUMENICAL (2) was the run to follow out of that race. She ran really well and looks a terrific chance to break through and win a nice race now. Through the same race THERMOSPHERE (1) was sound and she must have a hope again.

Tough effort winning the Manifold where YES BABY YES (6) ran well in behind before being touched off by INCREDULOUS DREAM (4) back at 1400m last week. That pair must have good hopes on the back up with both looking like the mile can suit them now. QUEEN OF ROCKS (5) is a nice chance at bigger odds. Not a lot of luck in the Manifold and didn't have much clear room the run prior. She might have a bigger run in her locker and very wary of her here.

1st – 2 Ecumenical

2nd – 1 Thermosphere

3rd – 6 Yes Baby Yes

4th – 4 Incredulous Dream

2020 Tesio Stakes: Tips And Race Preview

Tips and Race Preview for the 2020 Tesio Stakes at Moonee Valley on Saturday stick to a course horse. Paradee likes it here and is a $4 shot.

Expecting a solid tempo set up by Greysful Glamour from the outside draw. PARADEE (10) won a Group Three over the course and distance back in the autumn and she looks poised to add to that now having run really well at Caulfield off a short break between runs. She can be fitter for that and thought she shaped up really well there. Big chance to peak and win now.

GREYSFUL GLAMOUR (2) will press forward and give them plenty to run down. Led all the way to score around here 12 months ago and as good as ever last time. SOVEREIGN AWARD (3) was also as good as she has ever been last time out, winning at this level at Caulfield, and should get another sweet run. The Maher/Eustace pair FASCINO (8) and BONVICINI (5) are both chances in the right race. Both should love getting back to the mile now.

1st – 10 Paradee

2nd – 2 Greysful Glamour

3rd – 3 Sovereign Award

4th – 8 Fascino
