South African racing continues to wait for the reality of racing once again

South African racing remains suspended while the industry awaits Government approval for a resumption to what will certainly be a changed racing programme.

South African racing authorities will follow the pattern of all racing jurisdictions who conduct race meetings at present behind closed doors with no patrons on-course. There will be an altered racing programme with, for example, feature race meetings such as the Vodacom Durban July at Greyville currently planned to be held at the end of July instead of its tradtitonal date of the first Saturday of July.

June 1st, 2020, is the date that the South African industry is hoping to resume meetings and in the meantime training and the care of horses and stables continues as they wait for the official permission from Pretoria.
