2019 Sandown Guineas: Tips And Race Preview

Going for a horse on the rise in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 Sandown Guineas at Sandown on Saturday, Heart Of Puissance is untapped at $4.60.

Defend goes forward. Kavalmo has blinkers on and may poke forward from out wide with Banquo who will be rolling from the far outside.

HEART OF PUISSANCE (4) steps up in grade for this but he is an untapped talent and looks like measuring right up. Won well at the Valley last time despite running about late. There's a big engine there and if he puts it all together he can post a big performance without surprising.

PRETTY BRAZEN (10) ran well in a strong fillies race at Flemington and has to be a hope off that, as does BANQUO (1) off his Flemington win last week. Stable flying and he's fairly smart. AFFAIR TO REMEMBER (11) has had no luck at her latest couple. She's certainly capable of better than her form reads to date. KAVALMO (5) gets blinkers and can improve.

1st – 4 Heart Of Puissance

2nd – 10 Pretty Brazen

3rd – 1 Banquo

4th – 11 Affair To Remember

2019 Kevin Heffernan Stakes: Tips And Race Preview

Godolphin have a big hand in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 Kevin Heffernan Stakes, Home Of The Brave will be hard to beat if he runs here and he is at $3.50.

Home Of The Brave can press on and lead. HOME OF THE BRAVE (3) brings some deep formlines down the highway from Sydney. Not beaten far behind topliners heading towards this and 1300m is an ideal trip for him. Can get control of the race on speed for Damien Lane and has to be mighty hard to beat from there.

D'BAI (4) resumes. Last run was here in Australia and just fair in an All Aged. Lot easier here. Sure to be well fancied. ORDER OF COMMAND (7) is in career best form and should be able to stretch it out to the 1300m.

RINGERDINGDING (6) and HEY DOC (1) resume off breaks. Both are likely to be better for this hit out but wary of their talent all the same. Betting will be key around them.

1st – 3 Home Of The Brave

2nd – 4 D'Bai

3rd – 7 Order Of Command

4th – 6 Ringerdingding

2019 Zipping Classic: Tips And Race Preview

Sticking with the class in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 Zipping Classic wih Humidor only needing to run to his best ar $3.90.

Miss Siska goes forward and Dal Harraild can press into a handy spot. Maher/Eustace stable come in strong here with three terrific chances.

Tipping the best of them is HUMIDOR (1) backing up from a sound effort in the Mackinnon last week. That was a deeper race than he tackles here. An even tempo at 2400m can bring the best out of him now. New stablemate SOUTHERN FRANCE (5) didn't fire in the Melbourne Cup but he wasn't beaten far and they just hacked along there which probably didn't suit. His peak ratings are good for this.

DAL HARRAILD (6) just missed in the race last year. No match at Geelong but he worked hard there and is better than that. GALLIC CHIEFTAIN (3) and VENTURA STORM (2) have hopes backing up from last week.

1st – 1 Humidor

2nd – 5 Southern France

3rd – 6 Dal Harraild

4th – 3 Gallic Chieftain
