TAB have taken Nature Strip’s trial over 900m at Rosehill on Monday morning as the signal to make the Chris Waller trained Group 1 sprinter the $1.80 favourite for the $500,000, Group 2 Premiere Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on Saturday. Nature Strip and James McDonald cruised around the trial for sixth.

With the withdrawal on Sunday of the injured Rothfire and an injury query for fellow three-year-old Farnan the Everest market is shaping up between Nature Strip, Classique Legend, Gytrash at $6.00 and Bivouac at $11.00.
Farnan will gallop between races at the Randwick-Kensington meeting on Wednesday. The colt is currently at $15.00 for The Everest.
