RACE 2 [TF: 0098] 

App WH Kok, the rider of XIYOU, in the presence of his Master’s Representative, Trainer D Meagher, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that passing the 800m, he did permit his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of SIRIUS (O Chavez), which checked. 

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from App Kok that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Saturday, 29 January 2022. 

App Kok was suspended from riding in races with effect from Sunday, 30 January 2022 to Wednesday, 02 February 2022 both dates inclusive (one Singapore Race Day) and was advised of his Right of Appeal. 

RACE 3 [TF: 0099] 

K A’Isisuhairi, the rider of RENZO, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that near the 250m, he did permit his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of DEN OF THIEVES (O Chavez), which was severely checked. 

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey A’Isisuhairi that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Saturday, 29 January 2022. 

Jockey A’Isisuhairi was suspended from riding in races with effect from Sunday, 30 January 2022 to Wednesday, 02 February 2022 both dates inclusive (one Singapore Race Day) and was advised of his Right of Appeal. 

RACE 3 [TF: 0099]

TH Koh, the rider of UNIVERSAL EMPIRE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that passing the 200m he did permit his mount to shift outwards, when insufficiently clear of SIAM ROYAL ORCHID (L Beuzelin), which was carried outwards bumping MAGNIFIQUE (I Saifudin) across the heels of RENZO (K A’Isisuhairi) causing MAGNIFIQUE to check. 

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Koh that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Saturday, 29 January 2022.

Jockey Koh was suspended from riding in races with effect from Sunday, 30 January 2022 to Wednesday, 02 February 2022 both dates inclusive (one Singapore Race Day) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 8 [TF0070]

On Saturday, 22 January 2022, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into Jockey T Rehaizat’s riding of CIZEN LUCKY in the straight, with particular reference, with the level of vigour applied on his mount between the 350m and 150m in the above race. 

Evidence was taken from Jockey Rehaizat and Trainer J Tan, the Trainer of CIZEN LUCKY. After considering all the evidence, Jockey Rehaizat was found guilty of a charge of failing to ride to the satisfaction of Stewards under MRA Rule 44(10) in that from passing the 350m until the 150m, he did fail to ride CIZEN LUCKY with sufficient vigour and determination when clear running, between SEE YAH (O Chavez) and STELLA POLARE (CC Wong), was available to him at all times. 

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration the nature of the charge. Jockey Rehaizat was suspended from riding in races with effect from Sunday, 23 January 2022 to Tuesday, 22 March 2022 both dates inclusive (a period of two months) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.
