He said after obtaining a position behind NINJA DERBY approaching the 1500 Metres, FASTPASS commenced to race keenly and as a result shifted out and away from NINJA DERBY into a three wide position. He added shortly after when NINJA DERBY remained one-off, this allowed COLOURFUL BARON to improve to his inside and resulted in FASTPASS being obliged to race three wide thereafter.

He said in the early stages CORDYCEPS ONE failed to show sufficient pace to comply with his instructions and he was obliged to obtain a trailing position three wide behind FOREVER GLORIOUS.
