Goodwood’s Clerk of the Course Ed Arkell said after racing on Thursday: “The Qatar Nassau Stakes is the most under-rated race and is still my favourite race of the entire year. It was a lovely winner with Lady Bowthorpe.
“I would say the ground is nearly Good, Good to Soft in places. With rain forecast this evening, I am loathed to change it now. The forecasters I spoke to this morning said 3-8mm of rain, with 3-5mm being the most likely.
“It is going to be very breezy tomorrow with some scanty showers following behind. With a bit of a wind behind them, they will rattle through fairly fast I would hope.”
