2019 Kingsford-Smith Cup: Tips And Race Preview

Taking the G1 form to line up in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 Kingsford-Smith Cup at Eagle Farm on Saturday. The Bostonian can do it again and he is at $8.

Irithea kicks up from the low draw with Dollar For Dollar and Home Of The Brave showing speed from out wide.

THE BOSTONIAN (2) did a great job to score an upset win in the Doomben 10,000 in what was a stronger field on paper than this. Unbeaten in Queensland and is two from two at this distance. Known as a fresh horse but still has a 50 per cent strike rate second up. Capable of back to back G1 wins.

TREKKING (6) has really put it together now having hit the line well to win stakes races at his past two outings. Won the Luskin Star last start at his first try at 1300m and he is drawn to get the favours. Smart three-year-old RINGERDINGDING (14) was freshened after his Carbine Club win but has trialled since. May be more of a Stradbroke horse but look for him hitting the line hard.

HOME OF THE BRAVE (7) disappointed first up but is better than that. Worth another chance. Doomben 10,000 placegetter DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR (5) and Victory Stakes winner I AM EXCITED (12) both deserve places in exotics.

1st – 2 The Bostonian

2nd – 6 Trekking

3rd – 14 Ringerdingding

4th – 7 Home Of The Brave

2019 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes: Tips And Race Preview

The Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes sticks with Blake Shinn. Czarson is given a good hope at $5.50.

Czarson kicks up on the fence with Grand Scholar pushing forward on his outside. CZARSON (3) is a talented colt ready to peak after finishing runner up at both runs this campaign, the latest from a wide gate when beaten 1.3L in the Champagne Classic. Gets a much easier run from the inside stall and Shinn may be able to dictate the pace. That would see him hard to run down.

ACCESSION (1) hit the line hard but missed by a nose when resuming in the Ken Russell. That run will have improved him and he is screaming out for 1400m. STRASBOURG (2) didn't have the clearest of runs in his last outing when he ran on to dead heat with Czarson in the Champagne Classic. Another that should relish 1400m.

GEM OF SCOTLAND (11) should be undefeated. Was luckless when beaten a nose last week after winning her first four starts. Can measure up to the boys. DISRUPTOR (6) ran on well last time and should be hitting the line hard again.

1st – 3 Czarson

2nd – 1 Accession

3rd – 2 Strasbourg

4th – 11 Gem Of Scotland

2019 Fred Best Classic: Tips And Race Preview

In form runners feature in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 Fred Best Classic, Vega One has been flying of late and is at $4.60.

Multiple sources of speed and the big field is sure to create pressure. VEGA ONE (6) was very impressive when streaking away to win the G3 Queensland Day Stakes by 3.3L last start, his second win from his past three runs. The penny has dropped with him now and any further progression sees him hard to beat.

MILITARY ZONE (2) chased hard when runner up in the Scone Guineas last start after a win in the G3 Hawkesbury Guineas. They look good lead-in races to this and he is at peak fitness now. ZOUTORI (4) is flying this campaign winning all three starts in Victoria. Can measure up to stakes level.

VIGOR WINNER (9) is a lightly-raced but progressive Kiwi who was a G3 winner last outing. He can take the next step. POHUTUKAWA (14) is a smart filly who should be hitting the line well.

1st – 6 Vega One

2nd – 2 Military Zone

3rd – 4 Zoutori

4th – 9 Vigor Winner

2019 Grand Prix Stakes: Tips And Race Preview

The Kiwis are to the fore in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 Grand Prix Stakes, Lord Arthur can stake a Derby claim at $3.30.

Not a lot of pace on paper. Vow And Declare could be the one to find the front. LORD ARTHUR (8) is a talented Kiwi who showed his staying credentials when winning the G2 Championship Stakes at Ellerslie last start. Hasn't raced for a month but is drawn to advantage and gets McDonald aboard. If he runs up to his last-start rating he should have the edge on these.

A MAN TO MATCH (2) kept finding the line well when runner up in the Rough Habit Plate last start. Placed at his only previous attempt at this distance and should be hitting his peak fourth up. GRINZINGER STAR (1) was chopped out last start and pulled up lame so ignore that. Won his previous two at Caulfield and has upside.

BOBBY DEE (9) is another Kiwi who placed behind Lord Arthur in the Championship Stakes and has won at this distance since. Respect. VOW AND DECLARE (4) is on the up and can improve out to this trip third up.

1st – 8 Lord Arthur

2nd – 2 A Man To Match

3rd – 1 Grinzinger Star

4th – 9 Bobby Dee

2019 Premier’s Cup: Tips And Race Preview

More kiwis fancied in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 Premier’s Cup, Igraine is ready to win now around the $9 quote.

The pacemakers look to be drawn wide and while not a lot of speed on paper the field size should create some pressure.

The Kiwi IGRAINE (11) did a great job at her first Australian run when only missing by a nose in the G3 Chairman's Handicap. That was her first outing for four weeks so it should have improved her and she was placed at her only previous attempt at this longer distance.

LUVALUVA (7) caught the eye getting to the line well when beaten less than 2L in the Doomben Cup last week. Backs up in an easier race. Danger. HARIPOUR (2) was just behind Igraine when placed last outing. Drawn very wide but has the form to go close with a touch of luck.

THE CANDY MAN (20) is flying having won all four starts this time in. This is his class test but hard to knock what he has been doing. THE LORD MAYOR (5) deserves respect again after winning his past two.

1st – 11 Igraine

2nd – 7 Luvaluva

3rd – 2 Haripour

4th – 20 The Candy Man

2019 Glenlogan Park Stakes: Tips And Race Preview

Going for the back up form in the Tips and Race Preview for the 2019 Glenlogan Park Stakes, Quilista tries to win again at $3.

Quilista led to win last week so expecting her to adopt similar tactics. QUILISTA (4) couldn't have been more impressive when she led and raced away for an easy 3.5L win in the Listed Bright Shadow. Has to go another 100m which is a query but there doesn't look to be a too much early pressure. If she can dictate she will be hard to catch.

SAVATIANO (8) looked the winner of the Dark Jewel at Scone last time until grabbed in the finals strides. Loves 1300m with two wins and three placings from five attempts. Danger. SEXY EYES (6) won the Weetwood in good style first up then was galloped on last start. Drawn to get the favours.

INVINCIBELLA (1) is classy and loves this distance. Could be a big improver second up. ECKSTEIN (5) is a capable mare freshened since the Sydney carnival. Looking for better.

1st – 4 Quilista

2nd – 8 Savatiano

3rd – 6 Sexy Eyes

4th – 1 Invincibella
