Classique Legend and Banquo late entries for VRC Sprint Classic

Racing Victoria reported on Tuesday that there were two late entries of Classique Legend and Banquo for the $1.5m, Group 1 VRC Sprint Classic (1200m) at Flemington on November 7th.

The Les Bridge trained Classique Legend is nominated for the $500,000, Group 2 Premiere Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on Saturday before running in the $15m, TAB Everest (1200m) at Randwick on October 17th. The five-year-old Not A Single Doubt gelding goes into Saturday's race after winning the Group 2 The Shorts over 1100m at Randwick on September 19th. 

Classique Legend has not raced outside of Sydney.

The Danny O'Brien trained Banquo, a stakes winning four-year-old by Written Tycoon, was seventh at his last start in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes over 1400m at Caulfield on September 19th. Prior to that run he was second to Zoutori in the Group 2 Bobbie Lewis over 1200m up Flemington's straight sprint course on September 12th.
