Race 1 LONGBOARD ACCOUNTANTS FOR MIRABEL HANDICAP - 1600 metres:

Celestial Sol Change of tactics If begins, to be ridden more forward. Settled behind the leader. Rider Craig Williams reported the colt lay out throughout the race. Near the 50 metres had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Wise Counsel after having raced tightly between Wise Counsel and Queen Of Rocks.

The Pres Change of tactics To be ridden more forward. Slow to begin. Settled outside the leader after being caught wide in the early stages. When weakening near the 250 metres, steadied when racing in restricted room between Wise Counsel, which shifted in slightly and Celestial Sol, which shifted out slightly after having obtained a narrow run to the outside of Tanker.

Tanker Change of tactics To be ridden more forward. Led. Hindquarters brushed near the 50 metres.

Queen Of Rocks On jumping shifted in and bumped Cumberbatch. Held up for clear running from the 300 metres until approaching the 150 metres. Passing the 150 metres shifted to the outside of Tanker to attempt a run between that gelding and Celestial Sol where there was not full running to do so. As a result, Queen Of Rocks made contact with Celestial Sol and both horses raced tightly between Tanker and Wise Counsel (Jye McNeil), which began to shift in under pressure. After initially charging Jye McNeil with careless riding, Stewards heard further submissions and then withdrew the charge and severely reprimanded Jye McNeil for permitting his mount to shift in across the running of Celestial Sol which had to steady near the 50 metres.

Cumberbatch Bumped at the start. Held up for clear running from the 400 metres until passing the 300 metres. Rider Damien Oliver reported his mount was held up rounding the home turn and was disappointing thereafter. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Divine Diosa - Near the 900 metres got its head up when being restrained to avoid heels.

Surooj Held up for clear running from the 400 metres until passing the 200 metres.

Race 2 ARROWFIELD FOR LIVING LEGENDS HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Prior to the declaration of correct weight Chris Caserta (Lido Beach), 6th placegetter, viewed the stewards' video before deciding not to lodge an objection.

Ancestry Jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and bumped Aristobeaux.

Aristobeaux Slow to begin and bumped at the start.

Riddle Me That Raced three wide without cover. Passing the 300 metres when weakening, steadied from the heels of Lido Beach (Chris Caserta), which shifted out. C Caserta was notified to exercise more care. Rider Daniel Stackhouse could offer no explanation for the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.

Condos Express Rider Craig Williams could offer no explanation for the performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Race 3 4CYTE FOR LIVING LEGENDS HANDICAP - 1000 metres:

Muntaseera - Slow to begin.

Lay out rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Crystal Chief - Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out.

Pioneer River - Raced four wide without cover.

Portland Sky Held up from the 400 metres. Near the 200 metres was steadied when attempting a narrow run between Valaquenta and Frederick The Dane. Portland Sky then shifted out across heels to gain clear running passing the 100 metres. Stewards questioned Ben Melham regarding him not persisting for the run between Frederick the Dane and Valaquenta passing the 200 metres. B Melham explained that after initially shifting out to obtain the run, and in doing so brushing Valaquenta, he then elected to steady his mount and not persist with the run as he felt it was closing and he would have been tightened onto the heels of Frederick The Dane. He added that he was mindful that Portland Sky was inexperienced, having only its second start. Stewards interviewed trainer Matt Laurie by telephone, who expressed satisfaction with the ride, although disappointed that the colt was held up in the home straight. Stewards notified Ben Melham that in their view he had the opportunity to persist longer for the run between Frederick The Dane and Valaquenta and that it was his best option to do so rather than steadying and waiting to shift out across heels.

Race 4 THE HENLEY HOMES APC HANDICAP - 1100 metres:

Despatch - Began awkwardly.

Fine Dane - Raced three wide without cover.

Octane - Steadied off the heels of Despatch near the 500 metres. Held up from the 400 metres to the 300 metres. Again held up approaching the 100 metres and went to the line not fully tested.

Agreeable - Performed below market expectations. Rider Damian Lane reported he was not disappointed with the performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Hindaam (NZ) - Weakened from the 200 metres. Rider Luke Nolen could offer no explanation for the performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Yes Baby Yes Lay out rounding the home turn and in the straight. Led. When questioned, rider Craig Williams advised that he was given no specific instructions and the filly began well, taking up the lead without urging and with no other rider showing a positive intention to lead. Stewards confirmed this with co-trainer Troy Corstens who advised that it was not the intention to lead and the tactics were left for Craig Williams depending on the early circumstances of the race.

Race 7 CATANACHS JEWELLERS MRC FOUNDATION CUP - 2000 metres:

Shandy Underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barrier on the request of rider Daniel Moor and was passed suitable to race. Mandela Effect Held up for clear running from the 400 metres until passing the 100 metres. Again steadied approaching the winning post when making ground onto the heels of Dollar For Dollar. When questioned, Craig Newitt explained that he eased approaching the finish as he was mindful his mount was making ground towards the heels of Dollar For Dollar.

Cascadian (GB) Held up for clear running from the 350 metres until passing the 100 metres and again approaching the winning post.

Reyjavik Eased in across the heels of Behemoth passing the 250 metres and was then held up for clear running from the 150 metres until passing the 100 metres.
