The Guy Walter trained Toydini scored his second and most important win when taking the $125,000, Group 2 Spotless Phar Lap Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on Saturday after appreciating the better track conditions than his last start fifth on a Heavy track on March 2nd.
Toydini, under Blake Shinn, ran away from the rest of the field leaving few excuses for the rest of the field.
The winning margin was 2 1/4L with Ninth Legion (Fastnet Rock) and Dwayne Dunn second and Force Command (Commands) third, the margin 1L.
The time was 1.28.98 on the Good 3 track with the final 600m in 34.94. Toydini paid $7.10 while $3.40 favourite Ashokan was fifth after coming from the rear of the field.
Toydini was gelded during a spring break which Walter felt had improved his racing manners.

“It was what we hoped for really more than expect but he showed a nice turn of foot which he has always had,” said Walter
“We felt as a colt he was not producing his best and all the signs are good, he probably races best with his races spaced too.
“We wait three weeks now and run him in the Carbine Club and probably into the Frank Packer Plate and who knows he might end up in the Queensland Derby,” he said.
“It is really fantastic especially to win on this horse,” said Shinn.
“He has shown so much potential, it took the owners a bit of persuading to have a go at him but they have a really promising racehorse and I am sure he will go to really big heights.
“Mentally he is so much calmer at track work he wants to be a racehorse and you are always a bit sceptical until they perform on race day but he really attacked the line.
“He is going to get a trip he is going to run a mile and a quarter I really feel and he certainly has some really good races ahead of him,” he said.
The $125,000, Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) is on Australian Derby Day at Randwick, April 13th with the $125,000 Group 3 Frank Packer Plate (2000m) on Sydney Cup Day, April 27th.
Toydini, by Bernardini out of the Johan Cruyff mare Johan’s Toy, has started 11 times for the two wins and three placings for stakes of $209,350.
