Racing returns to Warwick Farm
20 Jun 2012 | Australian Turf Club The Australian Turf Club has received 97 acceptors for the eight-race card this Saturday at Warwick Farm.
A quality field will face the starter in the fourth race of the day, the South West Kerbing Handicap. The most notable amongst acceptors is Group 1 winning Erewhon. The Commands gelding will join Chris Waller-trained Altered Boy and last start winner San Zaim in the 1600m race.
The Metropolitan Civil Contractors Handicap is also looking to be a highlight of the day with 2011 South Australian Derby winner Shadows in the Sun amongst the acceptors. The four-year-old gelding will be up against Irish import Sour Mash who will be looking for his second win in three starts and Bart Cummings-trained Kim Warrior who has displayed recent strong form.
