Port Macquarie track inspected for Tuesday's racing
16 Jul 2012 | ThoroughbredNEWS News Desk Racing NSW advises that following a track inspection of Port Macquarie Racecourse by Racing NSW Stewards at lunchtime on Monday, the following alterations have been made to give Tuesday's scheduled TAB race meeting any chance of proceeding.
Races 1 and 7 have been shortened from 1500m to 1450m, with the rail being moved out 3m from the 1500m to the 1250m on the course proper.
The track overall is still very Heavy (10) and a further inspection will be conducted later this afternoon and again at 6am on Tuesday (17th July) - if necessary.
In other news Racing NSW Stewards have inspected the Bathurst racing surface in regards to the scheduled race meeting on Tuesday.
The course is rated Heavy (10) but remains suitable for racing.
Please note the distance of the $25,000 Ballina Bracelet to be run on Friday, 20th July 2012 has been incorrectly advertised as being over 1200m. The correct distance of the Ballina Bracelet is 1250m.
The washed out Newcastle (Broadmeadow) and Tamworth race meetings scheduled for last Saturday have since been abandoned.
