Bel Sprinter gets ready for Kranji
15 Apr 2013 | ThoroughbredNEWS News Desk The Galaxy winner Bel Sprinter has been vaccinated for his trip to Singapore and the S$1m, Group 1 KrisFlyer International Sprint (1200m) at Kranji on May 19th.

The Jason Warren trained five-year-old Bel Esprit gelding won the Group 1 The Galaxy over 1100m at Rosehill on March 30th with a devastating last to first run in the straight under Kerrin McEvoy to win by 3 1/4L.

He was third to Black Caviar in last Saturday's Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes over 1200m at Randwick.

Bel Sprinter, with Hugh Bowman riding, was the best of the older sprinters home behind Black Caviar and three-year-old Commands colt Epaulette, with the margin 5 1/4L to the champion mare.

Bowman has accepted the ride on Bel Sprinter at Kranji.

Bel Sprinter has proven winning form when racing fresh and he will spell in Sydney for a week and then spend three weeks in quarantine at Denistoun Park before flying to Singapore.
