QRIC allows Birchley to train

The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) will abide by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) decision to allow a stay of proceedings for disqualified Queensland trainer Liam Birchley.

As a result Mr Birchley will be allowed to train horses in Queensland until the outcome of his appeal.
Mr Birchley was disqualified from racing for one year after being found guilty along with seven others on 10 May of dishonest, corrupt, fraudulent, improper or dishonourable practice in that they were party to the administration of alkalinising agents and/or medications to a horse or horses on a race day.
