Race 1 MELBOURNES OWN 3AW TROPHY - 1600 metres:

Prior to the declaration of correct weight Kerrin McEvoy (Manuel), 2nd placegetter, viewed the stewards' film before deciding not to lodge an objection.

Eshtiraak Kicked out leaving the mounting yard, making contact with the gate and dislodged a plate. Underwent a veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Stewards ordered the late scratching at 12.14pm. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded. All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket: Win Bets 15 cents, Place Bets (For Winner) 18 cents, Place Bets (For 2nd) - 13 cents, Place Bets (For 3rd) 0 cents *All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face value of ticket.

Manuel Over raced in the early and middle stages. Near the 1200 metres steadied away from the heels of Call It A Day.

Loyalty Man Over the concluding stages shifted out towards Manuel before then shifting back in.

Call It A Day Rider Damien Oliver reported his mount failed to back up from its last start (4 November, 2018) and raced flat throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Race 2 JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION PLATE - 2000 metres:

Riyadh (NZ) Jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with Etymology.

Docker Pav Slow to begin.

Etymology Bumped at the start. Held up from the 500 metres when unable to obtain clear running until shifting in passing the 200 metres.

Special Alert Jumped away awkwardly. Raced three wide in the middle stages.

Lucky For All (NZ) Raced three wide without cover in the early stages. The saddle shifted back in the early stages placing rider John Allen at a disadvantage. Held up from the 500 metres before gaining clear running passing the 400 metres. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Pleasuring Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

Danon Roman (JPN) Rider James McDonald reported his mount raced keenly throughout the event and for this reason was unable to finish off as expected. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Race 3 WATCH RACING.COM SPRINGTIME STAKES - 1400 metres:

Still Invincible Change of tactics - To be ridden further back. Jumped away awkwardly. Settled towards the rear of the field. Rider Luke Currie reported his mount raced greenly throughout and did not feel comfortable racing between other runners. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Ragged Rascal Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

More Than Exceed (NZ) Jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and bumped Igniter. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

Igniter Bumped at the start.

No Emotion Raced three wide without cover.

Secret Vega Held up from the 500 metres when unable to obtain clear running until approaching the 100 metres.

Ringerdingding Shifted out abruptly near the 300 metres and in doing so brushed Ragged Rascal.

Yulong January Rider Regan Bayliss reported his mount had every chance and in his opinion, may have come to the end of its preparation.

Wagner Rider Craig Williams reported his mount raced greenly throughout the event and failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Race 4 DERUCCI CHATHAM STAKES - 1400 metres:

So Si Bon Change of tactics to be ridden further back. Ridden towards the rear of the field. Disappointed for clear running from the 150 metres and approaching the 50 metres had to be eased when making ground into restricted room between Perast, which had shifted in slightly and Dollar For Dollar, which had shifted out to avoid the heels of Dreamforce, which had also shifted out slightly. Co-trainer David Hayes was fined $200 for failing to notify the change of tactics within the prescribed time. AR135A.

Good Project Shortly after the start shifted in abruptly and severely hampered Mr Sneaky and Spectroscope (USA).

Mr Sneaky Severely hampered shortly after the start. Hampered near the 200 metres after obtaining a run to the inside of Dollar For Dollar, which shifted in.

Spectroscope (USA) Severely hampered shortly after the start. Disappointed for clear running from passing the 100 metres.

Age Of Fire Raced thee wide without cover.

Dollar For Dollar Steadied when racing in restricted room near the 50 metres between Dreamforce, which shifted out slightly and So Si Bon, which was making ground to his outside.

Race 5 QUEEN ELIZABETH STAKES - 2600 metres:

Lord Fandango GER Underwent a veterinary examination after arriving on course and was passed suitable to race. Underwent a further veterinary examination and was found to be suffering colic. Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the horse at 2.15pm. All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket: 17 cents for doubles prior to 2.15pm.

Ormito (GER) Slow to begin.

Miss Admiration Steadied at the 150 metres when tightened for room between Red Alto, which initially shifted out and Sir Isaac Newton (GB), which shifted in. Rider Damien Oliver reported his mount jarred up. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Gallic Chieftain (FR) Rider John Allen reported his mount did not appreciate racing as far forward and for this reason did not finish off the race as expected. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering the thumps.

Sully (NZ) In the straight the saddle shifted back. Severely hampered near the 350 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame right front. A veterinary clearance is required prior to racing again.

Libran - Severely hampered near the 350 metres

Sir Isaac Newton (GB) Rider Anthony Darmanin reported his mount pulled hard for the majority of the event.

Stephen Baster (Northwest Passage) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provision of AR137(a). The careless riding being that near the 350 metres he failed to make sufficient effort to keep his mount straight resulting in Northwest Passage shifting out taking Sully out into the running of Libran (IRE), resulting in Sully and Libran being severely hampered. S Baster had his licence to ride in races suspended for a total of ten meetings to commence midnight 10 November, 2018 and to expire midnight 17 November, 2018. (2 metro, 8 provincial). In assessing penalty, the Stewards were of the view that the incident qualified for the mid-range category of carelessness and took into account his guilty plea and record.

Race 6 7NEWS MATRIARCH STAKES - 2000 metres:

Wheal Leisure Slow to begin. Over raced in the early and middle stages.

Eckstein Jumped away awkwardly.

Savvy Coup (NZ) Over raced in the early and middle stages. Rider Chris Johnson reported that when the race quickened his mount was left flat footed and failed to respond to his riding when under pressure. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Temple Of Bel Raced three wide without cover.

Aloisia (NZ) Raced keenly when being steadied to gain cover approaching the 1400 metres. Rider Michael Walker could offer no explanation for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

All Too Soon Had to be steadied near the 700 metres to avoid the heels of Temple Of Bel, which shifted out to improve.

Nettoyer Rider Regan Bayliss reported his mount was not suited by the tempo of the race. Post-race endoscopy detected a degree of internal exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage that may have affected the horses racing performance. A veterinary clearance is required prior to racing again.

Aqua DIvina Rider Jason Collett reported his mount was not suited by the tempo of the race. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Race 7 VRC SPRINT CLASSIC - 1200 metres:

Redkirk Warrior (GB) - Shortly after the start hampered when tightened for room between Kementari, which shifted out slightly and Spirit Of Valor (USA), which shifted in. Rider Regan Bayliss could offer no explanation for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Brave Smash (JPN) - Shortly after the start hampered when tightened for room between Kementari, which shifted out slightly and Spirit Of Valor (USA), which shifted in. Near the 350 metres was disappointed for a run between Spirit Of Valor (USA) and US Navy Flag (USA).

Invincible Star Rider Stephen Baster reported that near the 1100 metres his mount got its head up and shortened stride. Lost the right fore plate during the event.

Kementari Checked approaching the 200 metres when disappointed for clear running between Pierata (Tommy Berry), which shifted out slightly and Invincible Star (Stephen Baster), which shifted in slightly when beginning to give ground. T Berry and S Baster were both reprimanded.

Fleet Review (USA) Steadied approaching the 200 metres to avoid the heels of Kementari.

In Her Time Near the 400 metres lay in across the heels of Fleet Review (USA).

U S Navy Flag A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame left front. A veterinary clearance is required prior to racing again.

Redzel - Rider Kerrin McEvoy could offer no explanation for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Race 8 SEPPELT MACKINNON STAKES - 2000 metres:

Octabello Jumped away awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Extra Brut Slow to begin (2l).

Blair House (IRE) Rider William Buick reported his mount failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

Shillelagh Tightened for room and checked near the 200 metres.

Doubt Defying Hampered near the 200 metres by Shillelagh which had been tightened inwards.

Damien Oliver (Prized Icon) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provision of AR137(a). The careless riding being that near the 200 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of Shillelagh (NZ), resulting in Shillelagh being tightened for room and having to be checked. D Oliver had his licence to ride in races suspended for a total of ten meetings to commence midnight 17 November, 2018 and to expire midnight 26 November, 2018. (2 metro, 8 provincial). In assessing penalty, the Stewards were of the view that the incident qualified for the mid-range category of carelessness and took into account his guilty plea and good record.

Race 9 GRAND HANDICAP - 1100 metres:

Captains Son Jumped away awkwardly.

Eurack Jumped away awkwardly. Rider Luke Currie reported the mare, which was having its first start down the straight, would benefit from todays event. Post-race endoscopy detected a degree of mucus that may have affected the horses racing performance and a slow recovery. A veterinary clearance is required prior to racing again.

Beacon Checked near the 400 metres.

Sheriff John Stone Hampered near the 400 metres.

Give Us A Go Rider Anthony Darmanin reported his mount did not feel comfortable in its action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

App Ethan Brown (Sirius Suspect) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provision of AR137(a). The careless riding being near the 400 metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not sufficiently clear of Beacon, resulting in Beacon shifting out and taking Sheriff John Stone out onto Eurack resulting in Beacon having to be checked and Sheriff John Stone being hampered. E Brown had his permit to ride in races suspended for a total of eight meetings to commence midnight 11 November, 2018 and to expire at the conclusion of the day meeting 17 November, 2018. (2 metro, 6 provincial). In assessing penalty, the Stewards were of the view that the incident qualified for the low-range category of carelessness and took into account his guilty plea and record.

Jordan Childs (Galaxy Raider) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provision of AR137(a). The careless riding being that passing the 200 metres he carelessly placed his mount close to the heels of First Among Equals resulting in his mount clipping heels and falling. J Childs had his licence to ride in races suspended for a total of ten meetings to commence midnight 10 November, 2018 and to expire midnight 17 November, 2018. (2 metro, 8 provincial). In assessing penalty the Stewards were of the view that the incident qualified for the mid-range category of carelessness and took into account his guilty plea and record.
