Firdaus suspended for two days

FRIDAY, 09 MARCH 2018:

RACE 3 [TF0304]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 13 April 2018, App MM Firdaus, the rider of MOMENT OF JUSTICE, in the presence of his Master’s B Trainer, Mr Garry Clutterbuck, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding MOMENT OF JUSTICE in Race 3 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 09 March 2018, near the 100m, he allowed his mount to shift outwards, when not sufficiently clear, resulting in TURF CHAMPION (App CC Wong) having to be checked.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from App Firdaus that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Sunday, 15 April 2018.

The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 16 April 2018 until Sunday, 22 April 2018 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
