Report: Curragh, Sunday

Tattersalls Gold Cup (Group 1) 1m 2 1/2f, 4yo+

So You Think (NZ) bounced back to winning ways with a clear cut success to post a second successive win in the Tattersalls Gold Cup.

The six-year-old was having a first start since finishing fourth when sent off favourite for the Dubai World Cup and those punters who backed him into 2-11 favouritism had no worries whatsoever as he sauntered clear under Joseph O'Brien to win by six lengths from Famous Name.

This was the sixth time in the last ten runnings that Aidan O'Brien had sent out the winner of this race and in doingso he moved to within one winner of notching a double century of successes at the highest level.

Seamie Heffernan sent Robin Hood into a seven-length lead in his role as pacemaker with So You Think and Famous Name settled back behind him.

As they passed the four furlong pole So You Think started to close the gap under a cool O'Brien and, after swooping into the lead two out, So You Think had the race settled in a matter of strides.

The winning trainer said: "He has had a good break since Dubai and Joseph was very pleased with his performance today.

"He is in the Prince Of Wales at Royal Ascot and also the Queen Anne but Excelebration will probably go for that.

"The Eclipse is likely to be his last race in Europe before he enters quarantine andgoes back to Australia."
