Snow Fairy aim to return in Prix Jean Romanet
10 Aug 2012 | Racingpost.com

Five-time Group 1 winner Snow Fairy could make her belated seasonal return in the Darley Prix Jean Romanet, trainer Ed Dunlop said on Thursday.

The five-year-old, who won the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Commemorative Cup at Kyoto on her last start in November, is on the comeback trail following a leg injury and she pleased connections when she worked at Sandown under Ryan Moore.

She has also had workouts at Newmarket and Lingfield this year and Dunlop said the Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville on August 19 was under consideration.

The trainer said: "She worked over a mile with her regular lead horse, ridden by Ryan Moore, and we were happy with the way she went.

"She could possibly run in the Prix Romanet and if she doesn't go there, then the Yorkshire Oaks."

Snow Fairy also holds entries in the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes, the Irrestible Jewel Blandford Stakes, the Qipco British Champions Fillies' and Mares' Stakes and the Qipco Champion Stakes.
