Betfair granted Spanish gambling licences

Leading betting exchange Betfair have been awarded online gambling licences in Spain.

Betfair, who will pay a gross gaming revenue tax of 25 per cent on Spanish operations, released the news on Thursday and will offer sportsbook and casino products including roulette and blackjack.

Last week Sportingbet were granted a licence to operate in Spain, while other companies with permits in the country include Ladbrokes, bet365, Bwin.party and 888.com.
