Caradak is impressive for Oxx

Morris
town Lattin Stud's Desert Style was responsible for Caradak, the impressive winner of the €80,000 Group 3 Emirates Airline Minstrel Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

Owned and bred by His Highness The Aga Khan, Caradak was a Listed winner at the course on Derby day and had little difficulty in stepping up in class.

Clear over a furlong from home, he won by three and a half lengths from English-raider Arakan with Tropical Lady in third place.

Winning rider Michael Kinane said, 'He is improving and it would have taken a top horse to beat him today.'

John Oxx, the winning trainer added, 'He has looked a Group 3 horse in the past, but he looked better than that here. He is in the Desmond Stakes, which might be next, and he could go abroad after that.'

Moonlight Dance makes it three in a row

Moonlight Dance stepped up on two recent handicap wins at Leopardstown and Tipperary when winning the €75,000 Group 3 Ladbrokes.ie International Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday.

Bred by Mrs. Gita Weld and trained by her son Dermot, the daughter of Sinndar has made tremendous improvement since scoring at Leopardstown off a rating of 74 at the beginning of the month.

She showed plenty of determination to see off the challenge of Lock And Key (Key Of Luck) by a head with the Classic-placed Democratic Deficit a close third.

The winner, who was ridden by Pat Smullen, is in foal to High Chaparral and could now be retired. However, if she runs again, it will be in the Desmond Stakes at the Curragh.

Amigoni rules in Group III Anglesey Stakes

Aidan O'Brien continues to dominate the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Anglesey Stakes and he won the €75,000 event for the seventh time when Amigoni justified favouritism under Kieren Fallon.

The son of Danehill was pushed all the way to the line by English raider Black Charmer (Black Minnaloushe) and will now head to Goodwood for either the Richmond Stakes or the Champagne Stakes.

O'Brien said, 'Amigoni is a horse who is getting better with every run and, like all these tough Danehills, he improves with racing.'
