The Peter Snowden-trained Russian Revolution won the Can Assist Volunteers Plate (1200m) at Randwick on Saturday in dominant fashion.
Sent out the well-supported $2.80 favourite for what looked a competitive Randwick two-year-old contest, Russian Revolution turned the race into a one act affair, taking control of the race under jockey Rory Hutchings as they went down the side and kicking strongly on straightening to win by a dominant margin.

Russian Revolution had the race in his keeping from a long way out and went past the line easing down with Morton's Fork (Ad Valorem) leading the remaining bunch home in second.
Finishing in third was the Corumbene Stud-raced Treviso (Snitzel), a half-brother to stakes winner Southern Legend.
With two wins from two starts for owners Newgate S F, China Horse Club Racing Pty Ltd, Horse Ventures, John Stuart Investments Pty Ltd, Mr D W Wallace, the Randwick victory of Russian Revolution took his earnings to $101,775.
Trainer Peter Snowden hinted at bigger things for Russian Revolution with the early spring firmly on the radar.
"He's a lovely horse and he's always shown good ability. It was great to see him bring that game today," Snowden said.
"He works really well at home and it's good to see him bring that form to the races and win with authority. We always say the same thing, you can't get too carried away with winter racing, but in the past three or four weeks there's been way above average two-year-olds going out and this is one of those horses.
"He's getting up there. He's coming right at the right time. With a bit of a freshen up he can take the step into the better class races coming up.

"He's definitely a horse to follow, there is a fair bit more upside to come from him. He improved a lot from his first run to today and I think he has a bit more to go as well.
"I think he is definitely up to the better class horses."
Jockey Rory Hutchings concurred.
"He gave me a great feel. He's a lovely horse," he said.
