Whobegotyou passes away
12 Sep 2012 | Racingandsports.com.au Eight time Group winner Whobegotyou has died peacefully this morning at the Victorian property of prominent owner Laurence Eales.

Whobegotyou was the flagship horse for now prominent owner Laurence Eales who rose to fame during his three-year-old season claiming the 2008 Group 1 Caulfield Guineas, Group 2 Bill Stutt Stakes and the Group 2 AAMI Vase.

He added to his Group 1 tally when claiming the 2009 Yalumba Stakes (2000m) and also posted back to back wins in the 2009 and 2010 renewals of the Group 2 Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m).

The Street Cry gelding was officially retired earlier this year due to ongoing joint problems and exited racing with a record which stood at 10 wins and 14 minor placings from 29 career starts.

His prizemoney earnings exceeded $3.2million. The seven-year-old has been buried in his favourite spot at Eales' property at Sunbury in Victoria.
