Black Caviar Melbourne Bound
10 Jul 2012 | Racing Victoria

Black Caviar has commenced the final leg of her trip home from the UK with her Cathay Pacific Cargo flight departing Hong Kong for Melbourne earlier today.

The unbeaten champion left London’s Heathrow Airport shortly before midnight (AET) and has had stopovers in Dubai and Hong Kong.

She is scheduled to arrive at Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport at 4.15am (AET) tomorrow accompanied by her new stablemate, former Italian star Voila Ici who is headed down under to contest the BMW Caulfield Cup and Emirates Melbourne Cup.

Racing Victoria has coordinated a pool cameraman and pool photographer to capture their return and unloading at the airport. Media wishing to access this vision/imagery are asked to contact myself via s.kelly@racingvictoria.net.au or 0417 145 796.

From the airport the pair will travel to the Werribee International Horse Centre where they’ll complete two weeks post arrival quarantine.

All media are welcome to film/photograph the pair’s arrival at Werribee from the media
observation decks at the Vintage Crop Stables, Ballan Rd, Werribee Racecourse. This will occur from 5.30am (AET) onwards with the exact time dependent upon on how their unloading progresses
