The hour-long documentary showcases the history and grandeur of Royal Ascot, the spectacular training grounds of historic Newmarket, and also explores the deeds of Australian thoroughbreds that have conquered the famous carnival including Choisir and Miss Andretti.
Black Caviar’s exciting journey to the Diamond Jubilee and her nail-biting victory are a focal point of the production. Prominent UK racing identities John McCririck, Jim McGrath and Matt Chapman also feature, as well as trainers Luca Cumani and John Gosden.
“Royal Ascot is a huge meeting. You go in there thinking well I’ve got a chance of winning this and a chance of winning that, and by the time you get out the other end, you’re thrilled if you’ve won one race,” Mr Gosden said.
