Updated Black Caviar firms - Market for Diamond Jubilee Stakes after barrier draw

Black Caviar has firmed further from $1.18 on Thursday evening after the barrier draw into $1.15 for the £500,000, Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) at Royal Ascot on Saturday.

The Peter Moody trained mare opened for the Diamond Jubilee Stakes market at $1.50.

Earlier report Thursday evening: Black Caviar has drawn the outside barrier in a field of 15 for the £500,000, Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) at Royal Ascot on Saturday.

TAB Sportsbet reports that in the opinion of the bookmaker it is an ideal draw with previous years at Royal Ascot proving the grandstand side is the place to be late in the carnival.

Black Caviar's price has firmed from $1.22 into $1.18. She opened for the Diamond Jubilee Stakes market at $1.50.
