07 Dec 2017 | ThoroughbredNEWS News Desk

The Victorian Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board will hear the Penalty Hearing for trainer John Sadler at 1.00pm on Monday, 18 December 2017.

Mr Sadler has advised through his legal representative that he will be pleading guilty to a charge under AR 175(q) which provides that:

The Principal Racing Authority (or the Stewards exercising powers delegated to them) may penalise: Any person who in their opinion is guilty of any misconduct, improper conduct or unseemly behaviour.

Mr Sadler has been charged with improper conduct towards the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Stewards before and after the stewards’ decision to withdraw the horse Observational from Race 9, the Eclipse Stakes, at Sandown on 18 November 2017.
