At the conclusion of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Premier Yearling Sale on Monday a healthy clearance close to eighty percent overall was a pleasing result.
The top price of $100,000 was an impressive result for the Secret Savings filly out of Haulrenee, purchased in Session One of the sale by Queensland based Michael Flannigan.
Overall the sale achieved an average of $17,567, from 287 lots sold, a 79.72% clearance rate, and the sales aggregate achieved $5,041,750.
Magic Millions Managing Director, David Chester commented:
“The result was very satisfying, the international buying activity was strong from Korea, Malaysia and Singapore, and this in addition to a very active Queensland buying bench helped deliver a strong clearance at every level of the sale.”
“The strength in the local market is due to the popularity of QTIS registered yearlings, with buyers chasing the added stakes on offer for racing horses in Queensland”.
