Day one of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Premier Yearling Sale concluded with an average of $16,883 from 143 lots sold, achieving a sales aggregate for the day's session of $2,414,250, and a healthy clearance of 77.30%.

Magic Millions Managing Director, David Chester commented;

“We are very pleased with today’s results, while the sale was very much in buyer's favour, there was an increase in gross, average and clearance on the session one results of the 2005 sale”.

“This can be attributed to the fact this year’s sale is smaller and more select, with 426 lots catalogued compared to last years 649.”

“Many yearlings that would normally have been offered at this March sale, where either sold in January or have been catalogued for the June National Yearling sale”.

“We have another 200 select Yearlings catalogued for sale tomorrow, the sale commences at 11am”, he said.
